SCENIC PAINTING
My senior year of college, I took a Scenic Painting class. I learned a myriad of techniques from basic scumbling to image recreations. All projects below are from this course.

Bricks and Stones
The goal of this assignment was to utilize various techniques to recreate the original image (pictured below). This was my first time ever scenic painting and I learned a lot about texturing and using varying tools to create a desired look.
Foam
For this assignment we were asked to create another set of either bricks or stones, but this time carve them out of foam. I chose a set of bricks I had found around town that were interesting and had a considerable amount of agining.

Marble
In conjunction with our foam project, we were tasked to recreate a marble image of choice. Using layering, direction, and a lot of dry time, I turned a 2 foot by 2 foot hard covered flat into marble.
Abandoned Sign
For this project we were asked to take a sign we liked and either find one in an overgrown field or photoshop one as a reference image. I decided to choose an Okoboji classic, The O'Farrell Sisters and place it in a large field with flowers.

Personal Emblem
For our final assignment we were asked to create an image that we felt personally represented us. The image needed to be imposed in front of a background and hold meaning to who we are. I decided to go with a bouquet of flowers that meant important things to me.

Aged Wallpaper
For this project, we were asked to create a tattered wallpaper. I decided to go with a water damaged look with a mix of dirt and grime that had built up over a lot of time.
