BIO

I've always been one for the theatrics, whether I was on or off stage. When I was in sixth grade, I thought I would try my hand at actually being apart of the theatre and auditioned for our school musical, Grease. I didn't make it in. But never the less, I tried again the next year, auditioning for our school production of Hamlet. Let's just say it was out of tenacity, and not stubbornness, that I really wanted to be in this production. However, I must have done something right, because I landed the role of Ophelia. From that point, I continued performing throughout high school and truly cultivated my love for theatre.

When it came time to decide colleges and what I would go into, I knew that I loved what I was doing in theatre. But I didn't have the same passion for performing that others did. So, I took what we'll call a leap of faith (and not an impetuous act) to get my degree in Theatre Management. What could go wrong going into a field that I had no prior experience in or knowledge about? Luckily for me, not a lot. I fell in the love with Stage Management. It combined everything I loved about the art of theatre and the logistics that I crave in my every day life. It's fast paced and constantly ever-changing, which keeps me on my toes. It's everything I could have asked for in a career.

Combining my love for interpersonal interaction and seeing works of art come together from the ground up is what inspires me to be the best Stage Manager I can be, to leave every space better than I found it, and to be off my parent's health care by age 25.
